Bruce W. Pepich

Beginning at the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts in Racine in 1974, Bruce Pepich is one of Wisconsin’s longest serving arts administrators. Currently, he is Executive Director and Curator of Collections at the Racine Art Museum as well as the Wustum Museum of Fine Arts. In the 1990s he assembled one of the most significant contemporary craft collections in the nation and successfully guided the creation of the award-winning RAM in 2003 in downtown Racine to house this collection. In addition, Bruce maintains the museum’s original focus on works on paper. He curates exhibitions of contemporary art, including the longestablished Watercolor Wisconsin. He is a published writer on art and artists and has served as a juror for over 50 national and international art competitions. He continues to build the museum’s crafts and works on paper collections while writing on contemporary crafts.
